scsi: iscsi: Fix multiple iSCSI session unbind events sent to userspace
[ Upstream commit a3be19b91ea7121d388084e8c07f5b1b982eb40c ]
It was observed that the kernel would potentially send
ISCSI_KEVENT_UNBIND_SESSION multiple times. Introduce 'target_state' in
iscsi_cls_session() to make sure session will send only one unbind session
event.
This introduces a regression wrt. the issue fixed in commit

ANDROID: scsi: core: Delay unaligned write error retries
Host-managed zoned block devices report the sense code 21h/04h
(UNALIGNED WRITE COMMAND) when attempting to write data at another LBA
than the write pointer. Retry unaligned writes after all other pending
commands have completed instead of retrying these immediately. The
change in this patch makes the following function decide to queue the
failed command to the error handler instead of retrying it immediately:

This patch has not been posted on any Linux kernel mailing list since
there is agreement that another approach will be taken to preserve the
order of WRITE commands for zoned devices. However, the implementation
of that new approach is not yet available.

UPSTREAM: scsi: core: Support failing requests while recovering
The current behavior for SCSI commands submitted while error recovery is ongoing is to retry command submission after error recovery has finished. See also the scsi_host_in_recovery() check in scsi_host_queue_ready(). Add support for failing SCSI commands while host recovery is in progress. This functionality will be used to fix a deadlock in the UFS driver. scsi: stex: Properly zero out the passthrough command structure
commit 6022f210461fef67e6e676fd8544ca02d1bcfa7a upstream. The passthrough structure is declared off of the stack, so it needs to be set to zero before copied back to userspace to prevent any unintentional data leakage. scsi: iscsi: Fix session removal on shutdown
[ Upstream commit 31500e902759322ba3c64b60dabae2704e738df8 ] When the system is shutting down, iscsid is not running so we will not get a response to the ISCSI_ERR_INVALID_HOST error event. The system shutdown will then hang waiting on userspace to remove the session. This has libiscsi force the destruction of the session from the kernel when iscsi_host_remove() is called from a driver's shutdown callout. This fixes a regression added in qedi boot with commit |

scsi: iscsi: Fix harmless double shift bug

Fortunately, the bit numbers are small and it's done consistently so it does not cause an issue at run time. ANDROID: add kabi padding for structures for the android13 release
There are a lot of different structures that need to have a "frozen" abi for the next 5+ years. Add padding to a lot of them in order to be able to handle any future changes that might be needed due to LTS and security fixes that might come up. It's a best guess, based on what has happened in the past from the 5.10.0..5.10.110 release (1 1/2 years). Yes, past changes do not mean that future changes will also be needed in the same area, but that is a hint that those areas are both well maintained and looked after, and there have been previous problems found in them. Also the list of structures that are being required based on OEM usage in the android/ symbol lists were consulted as that's a larger list than what has been changed in the past. Hopefully we caught everything we need to worry about, only time will tell... ZBC-2 allows host-managed disks to report gap zones. This allow zoned disks to report an offset between data zone starts that is a power of two even if the number of logical blocks with data per zone is not a power of two. Another new feature in ZBC-2 is support for constant zone starting LBA offsets. For zoned disks that report a constant zone starting LBA offset, hide the gap zones from the block layer. Report the offset between data zone starts as zone size and report the number of logical blocks with data per zone as the zone capacity. scsi: iscsi: Fix conn cleanup and stop race during iscsid restart
[ Upstream commit 7c6e99c18167ed89729bf167ccb4a7e3ab3115ba ] If iscsid is doing a stop_conn at the same time the kernel is starting error recovery we can hit a race that allows the cleanup work to run on a valid connection. In the race, iscsi_if_stop_conn sees the cleanup bit set, but it calls flush_work on the clean_work before iscsi_conn_error_event has queued it. The flush then returns before the queueing and so the cleanup_work can run later and disconnect/stop a conn while it's in a connected state. The patch: Commit |

Kernel messages produced during runtime PM can cause a never-ending cycle because user space utilities (e.g. journald or rsyslog) write the messages back to storage, causing runtime resume, more messages, and so on. Messages that tell of things that are expected to happen are arguably unnecessary, so add a flag to suppress them. This flag is used by the UFS driver. scsi: core: Avoid leaving shost->last_reset with stale value if EH does not run
commit 5ae17501bc62a49b0b193dcce003f16375f16654 upstream.
The changes to issue the abort from the scmd->abort_work instead of the EH
thread introduced a problem if eh_deadline is used. If aborting the
command(s) is successful, and there are never any scmds added to the
shost->eh_cmd_q, there is no code path which will reset the ->last_reset
value back to zero.
The effect of this is that after a successful abort with no EH thread
activity, a subsequent timeout, perhaps a long time later, might
immediately be considered past a user-set eh_deadline time, and the host
will be reset with no attempt at recovery.
Fix this by resetting ->last_reset back to zero in scmd_eh_abort_handler()
if it is determined that the EH thread will not run to do this.

scsi: core: Introduce the scsi_cmd_to_rq() function
The 'request' member of struct scsi_cmnd is superfluous. The struct request and struct scsi_cmnd data structures are adjacent and hence the request pointer can be derived easily from a scsi_cmnd pointer. Introduce a helper function that performs that conversion in a type-safe way. This patch is the first step towards removing the request member from struct scsi_cmnd. Making that change has the following advantages: - This is a performance optimization since adding an offset to a pointer takes less time than dereferencing a pointer. - struct scsi_cmnd becomes smaller. We are about to remove the request pointer from struct scsi_cmnd and that will complicate getting to the ref_tag via t10_pi_ref_tag() in the various drivers. Introduce a helper function to retrieve the reference tag so drivers will not have to worry about the details. scsi: fc: FDMI enhancement
Added RHBA and RPA attributes type and length. As per FC_GC_7 document section "Table 400 – Attribute Entry Types and associated Values" ASCII type attributes length can be vary from "4 to 256 byte". If we keep all RHBA ASCII attributes length 256 then total length is going upto 2750, which is far more than 2048 (max frame size). In libfc we do have logic to split FCP commands but not for CT commands. Practically all version/names get covered with in 64 bytes except OS name, for that we need 128 bytes. Hence length of all RBHA ASCII attributes is reduced to 64 bytes and 128 bytes in case of OS name. RPA attributes total length is within frame size. Add all attributes for RHBA and RPA registration. Fallback mechanism is added between RBHA V2 and RHBA V1 attributes. In case RHBA get fails for V2 attributes we fall back to V1 attribute registration.
