Before commitc5b5a3dd2c("mm: thp: refactor NUMA fault handling"), the TLB flushing is done in do_huge_pmd_numa_page() itself via flush_tlb_range(). But after commitc5b5a3dd2c("mm: thp: refactor NUMA fault handling"), the TLB flushing is done in migrate_pages() as in the following code path anyway. do_huge_pmd_numa_page migrate_misplaced_page migrate_pages So now, the TLB flushing code in do_huge_pmd_numa_page() becomes unnecessary. So the code is deleted in this patch to simplify the code. This is only code cleanup, there's no visible performance difference. The mmu_notifier_invalidate_range() in do_huge_pmd_numa_page() is deleted too. Because migrate_pages() takes care of that too when CPU TLB is flushed. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
