commit0f4ad8d59fupstream. If the call to devm_spi_register_controller() fails on probe of the MediaTek SPI NOR driver, the spi_controller struct is erroneously not freed. Since commita1daaa991e("spi: spi-mtk-nor: use dma_alloc_coherent() for bounce buffer"), the same happens if the call to dmam_alloc_coherent() fails. Since commit3bfd9103c7("spi: spi-mtk-nor: Add power management support"), the same happens if the call to mtk_nor_enable_clk() fails. Fix by switching over to the new devm_spi_alloc_master() helper. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
